Camera height:

Tripod height: 3 pieces not stretchedHeight of the people is much too extreme > requires more space so that performers can be further from camera
Camera height:

Tripod height: 2 pieces not stretched

> documentary style - 'realistic image' is creates ON EYE-LEVEL
Performer positioning

Not two in front and one in back
All to same side

Not so far apart but more together or also completely together= create a focus, don't spread it out completely

Croushing close the performer is like a giant.

Overall the view on the floor is quite unnatural - The viewer is not part of the performance but like a mouse on the floor. Instead it would be more 'real' and immersive if the viewer is at a realistic viewing height.

Sitting with a 2-3 meter Distanz works because the performer is then on the audiences height - but to stand in the same distance dosen't because the performer is ow too heigh.

*it might also be a good idea to have markings on the floor that shows the performers how far to stay away. But also the choreography will be trained so they would have this knowledge.
Camera position:
Not at centre but in far corner of room

In this way: All action up in front or to one direction so viewer knows where to look!

Performer positioning: Near - far

Should there be a direct engagement with the audience? An acknowledgement of the camera : NO!
Lighting: Light from outdoors/windows burns out the image

If actions is staged on the floor it is important to make sure that person doesn't fall out of frame
If positioning camera next to someone to integrate viewer into scene needs to be carefully positioned to not create distortions
Action can be spread out horizontally or build depth diagonally.

3 people is max amount for one scene
Action can be spread out horizontally or build depth diagonally.
Can imagine a pose and action like this in the final work
The '5th line' of the dome is the highest any performer should reach
Circular Domemaster
when close to Camera performers will be huge

south is front > place of main action
middle is top of the dome
in the dome the movement is much much faster
> slow down movement?
Place people a bit further away ( in a large room)
If too close stitching becomes problematic & the person will reach up over the top of the Dome

> test in Jena ( export multiple SPEEDS)

STORY not just visuals is important
Editing and transitions need to be considered from the beginning - the setting chosen from the beginning
cuts can/should be Hidden >> example Hitchcock - hidden cuts

In immersive media the goal is to be in a new world
'cuts' take away from immersion > shock the viewer - instead e.g. darkness as transition ( think of Bunny Rogers exhibition video long black with sound in it)
If audience is addressed directly becomes more intense because they cannot hide anymore as spectator > example use of a cloth over camera as a transition.

create impulses through sound - e.g. soda can opening - Anne Imhof)
Move an object with sound around the entire dome

> Levels of sound placement e.g. voice of god , drone-high; vacuum cleaner - low

What I want to present : one room, experience of isolation, confinement viewer blends in, same room , different camera positions, becomes part of scene - visual portraits - different from a cinematic narrative - storytelling through performance

What do I want the audience to feel / experience?
